I just finished a 6.681km running that lasted about 0hh:30mm:52ss !
As I am in France for a couple weeks, they have a curfew at 6pm here, due to COVID of course. As you might know, running early (meaning before nightfall) is always a challenge for me, so for this first run since I arrived here, I started only about 30 minutes before the curfew and actually completed my run exactly at 6pm!
It wasn't super fast, but unlike my usual Michigan runs, there is a little bit of uphill. It's only about 85 meters vertical, but the profile looks nice with that big uphill starting around the mid-point. Since I'm not used to it, it was painful! My pace during that uphill was more than a minute slower per mile, compared to average! But I'm glad I was able to quickly recover and finished the downhill and short flat sections at the end quite strong. After about a week without running, and of course no warm-up at all, this ain't bad.
Hopefully this week, I am able to start a few runs earlier, and run a little longer. I'll try and add some more hills, it's tough but great for my training.
Till then, keep Exhausting!
