Happy new year! yeah, let's get this out of the way first... I hope everybody finished the year well, and is ready to start 2024 strong. And for that, nothing better than Hive Power Up day! As often, I'll start with a little bit of bragging. Since my first HPUD back in December 2012, I only missed one! A dumb time zone mistake while traveling in April of 2023... Sorry it's a big picture, but I think it looks pretty cool:
It's almost as good for Hive Power Up Month. Since the first one I joined in November 2021, I only missed two, one a year. Again, dumb mistakes while traveling through different time zones. Anyways, let's focus now on 2024 and the first Power Up of the year. As usual, it's also an opportunity to review my account details, its growth, and the various next goals and targets.
As always, let's start with Hive. Like I explained many times, powering up large amounts for HPUD is difficult for me because I use the 100% Powered Up option for my daily posts, of course in order to succeed in PUM. So for this month, my Power Up is very minimal, just 10.666HP. I'll see if I am able to get a few more HBD next month, so I can convert them into more Hive.
Talking about HBD, like every month, I pushed a symbolic amount to savings, to take advantage of the 20% APR. Just like last month, it's again only 0.666HBD. But tiny steps by tiny steps, and with the force of compounding, I am now just a few cents shy of 150HBD in savings. It will pay off in the long run
As far as growth is concerned, it is a fairly typical month, with a very steady and consistent raise, almost linear again. Starting at 4590HP, I added 162HP to reach 4752HP. It's one of my best totals, and better than last month. On a daily average, it's again significantly higher than my 4HP daily target, yay!!
Including today's Power Up, the final number is 4763HP! That's a total increase of 173HP over December, which is my second best I believe.
Regarding SPORTS, it was better than last month but with about 473k added to my stake, it is slightly below my 500k monthly target. It's really not bad, and like I say every month, my strategy is very simple and does not change anyways: everything I earn via posting and curation is just staked. 17.25M is now my total stake. I'll have to check the rich list, I might be getting up there.
My monthly target (500) was also missed for ALIVE. But with 471AP added to my stake, it's also not that far. With all the rewards and passive income opportunities the We Are Alive tribe offers, I am sure I can do better very soon, and it's definitely worth it.
PHOTO is still not really a focus, but I like to accumulate it as much as I can. This was a slow month though. With only about 811 added to my stake, this was really far from my 1250 monthly target. I'll probably have to revise this target, I almost did last month already.
LOLZ growth was very weak for me last month, it's a little better this month with about 177 added to my stake. It is still below my target range though (200-250). The returns from my delegations have been a bit lower than they used to be. That's the main reason I cannot reach at least 200 anymore.
And finally CTP. I feel bad because I just added it to the main part of this post a couple months ago, but maybe it's already time to remove it. I completely lost focus on this one, and only added about 500 to my stake. I forgot to set a target last month anyways...
Well, that is pretty much it. The very same conclusion for my account this month: consistent and steady growth. It slowed down a little bit for second layer tokens though, but nothing to worry about yet. I am hoping to continue the same trend in 2024 and of course beyond.
