Hey Actifitters,
As often, when we have a show to attend in the evening, we split the day into two very separate parts. First, the usual one with Kaia and Le Chat, and our daily walk.
We didn't want to miss the fall colors.
And like I often say, Kaia needs her off-leash fun time in the forest!
The whole neighborhood still looks really colorful.
I was surprised we never saw Le Chat anywhere outside during our walk, I kinda thought maybe she was sleeping inside. But no, she just appeared from nowhere when we made it back home.
And of course, the second part of the day, L7 concert at Saint Andrew's Hall in Detroit. Full 90s nostalgia with an all female punk rock band in this great small venue, perfect for Halloween night!
We made it there just a song into their set, not so bad. The energy was great and the sound very good, as always at Saint Andrew's Hall.
They played all the big ones of course, but also a few deeper cuts.
They have lots of different styles in their songs, most are just punk or grunge tracks, but they slow it down and make it heavier on some, and super catchy on some others. But the energy is always insane! Since they broke out in the 90s, I thought they were just a bit older than I am, and I was really surprised when I found out they're all in their mid-60s (except the late Jennifer Finch, their former bassist, who passed away a few months ago unfortunately). They really didn't look like it.
They even had the guitar tech play on one of the songs, pretty good!
They played about one hour and a half, and it was never boring!
Of course, I have so many photos, but just one last to show the crowd surfing, always fun!
Well, that was a great Saturday, the usual daily walk followed by a great show in town, what else could we ask for!
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
