Hey Actifitters,
Sunday started late again, both bedtimes and wakeup times are shifting very late, way too late! Anyways, as soon as we got up, we were ready for some activity. So after Le Chat had a snack in the yard, Kaia was already on her way to the small forest.
But since we didn't have time to go there on Saturday, I really wanted to go the bigger forest and that's what we did. Since last week, it looks much more colorful in the last pathway leading to the forest.
And our small entrance is just awesome right now!
We made our usual stop just after that entrance, it's always a good photo spot.
Kaia isn't exactly the waiting type, but she stayed patient and waited every time we stopped for photos, and that was often!
Fall colors combined with the sun through the leaves, of course we took a gazillion photos!
Even near that clearing, leaves started to turn as well.
Not sure if she's feeling better, or if she just got really good at compensating for her weak leg, but Kaia doesn't seem to limp much anymore. So of course, we went all the way to the teepees.
It would have been a bit too long for the long loop though, so we turned back. Still an opportunity to catch plenty of other foliage colors on the way back.
And we finished with that small trail where Kaia usually takes the lead. This time, she was busy chasing critters though and she only caught up as we were exiting the forest.
And we finished our walk as the Moon started to illuminate the dark blue sky.
Well, another short day to finish the weekend, but we managed to squeeze in a really nice walk. The colors are finally starting to pop in the bigger forest, so it's probably time to visit larger parks. I'm hoping we can go up North next weekend, because it might be past peak after that. We'll see if we can set it up.
