Hey Actifitters,
First full day back home yesterday. The first priority of the day was to pick up Kaia at her 'pet resort'. I know she had some fun during the group plays with other dogs (it was fun to watch on the webcams), but after two weeks, she was ready to go home! She didn't let me talk to anybody there, and was pulling on the leash like crazy, 'let's go!!'
In the afternoon, it's like the weather knew I was back and it gave us significantly more snow that the forecast. Yay!! So we left Le Chat in her tiny house with the heated mat.
And we quickly went to the forest with Kaia.
Since it wasn't very cold, just about freezing point, the snow was a bit heavy. That makes it a bit sticky for skiing, but beautiful on the trees.
Kaia had plenty of energy to burn, that was perfect weather for it!
She was all over the place, checking everything, chasing deer (not seeing her for two weeks, they probably thought they were safe, big mistake!) and just running everywhere.
But she still responded well when called back, rushing back like she should.
And it's like we never stopped walking in the forest, she took the lead when it was our last loop in the forest. She takes that role very seriously and a two weeks break will not change that.
Finally, we added a little distance in the snow-covered neighborhood. I know it makes driving difficult, but it's so beautiful!
And that was it for the day's activities. That was a great day to get back into our routine. I am not sure if there's more snow in the forecast but next few days should be cold, so this snow should stay for a while. Yay again!!
