Hey Actifitters,
In case there was any suspense in my previous report, yes we did get a little bit more snow. And in spite of the sun, it was cold enough to keep it for a while. Kaia was so excited!
It was pretty busy at work, but as soon as I could get a little time, we went to the small forest behind the front yard. Like I already mentioned, it's so cool to see snow with what's left of the fall colors.
Look at how happy Kaia was. Like I said, she's like a puppy with the snow.
With the golden light in the afternoon, the snow, and the foliage, it was beautiful out there.
Even better with the sunset!
Before going back home, Kaia had a little more fun. It's a bit blurry because she was so fast!
Le Chat had a very different approach to the snow... She can handle cold weather, she did spend her first winters outdoors only. But I guess she wants to get used to the temperature change slowly.
Our walk in the small forest was fairly short, but we had another longer walk to the bigger forest later after nightfall. Now that we changed to winter time and it gets dark quite early, I think it will happen more often than not: a short walk in the afternoon and a longer one at night.
I really like the eerie mist we often find in the woods. It's probably amplified by the snow.
And Kaia finally led us out and back home.
Well, it was nice enjoying the little snow we finally got. Unfortunately it won't last with warmer temperatures in the forecast this week. But I'm sure real winter will be back soon, with hopefully a lot more snow.
