Hey Actifitters,
After a few days of uncomfortable weather, with lots of rain, but most importantly with really high humidity and muggyness, yesterday was much better with some sun, some cooler temperatures and much less humidity. Of course, that meant every time I got a little free time, we were in the yard.
And I guess the deer were enjoying this weather too, because we kept seeing them in the yard, from early in the morning.
At first, Le Chat was like "I'm on it..."
But she quickly went back to a more usual activity, with a long nap on that small sofa that she hadn't used for a while.
Even in the afternoon, the deer were still in the yard. I was in a meeting with lots of directors, senior directors and whatnot, luckily on mute at the time, when I heard Kaia bark downstairs. Somehow it's rare, so I knew something was happening. I checked out the window: 5 more deer in the yard! Couldn't go and snap photos unfortunately.
Anyways, later in the afternoon, we started our daily walk behind the front yard as usual. Again, so much more pleasant to go on a walk when it's cool and dry.
And what did we find right there? Deer of course, just a few meters from me, just chilling.
Of course, when Kaia arrived a few seconds better, chaos ensued! I was too slow and only caught the aftermath.
Kaia came back quickly though because there was something else interesting when Le Chat joined us.
After they explored a bit together, we headed in the golf course direction because I decided to try and catch the sunset, instead of fighting the mosquitoes in the forest. We were a bit late but caught the very end.
Like I said many times, even after the sunset, it's still a beautiful place anyways. It's too bad I don't play golf, I just like the views.
I had planned a run for after our walk, but it was getting too late. So instead we extended our walk in the neighborhood.
As often, we finished our walk in darkness and I hoped we'd see the infamous Blue Sturgeon Supermoon, but no luck. I talked about it for days and I missed it! I even checked much later, around 4am or so, but still no luck. Maybe because of the clouds, or maybe because it was simply too low and behind the trees. We'll try again next time (in 2026 I think!)
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
