Hey Actifitters,
Yesterday was quite busy and that didn't leave as much as usual for activities. Early afternoon, we went to pick up Kaia's food. We ran out a few days ago, and she wasn't too happy with kibble. The people I buy the food from are in a cool location, next to this small pond. I have to wonder though how crazy it gets with mosquitoes in summer.
You also get to see some of these things just up the road. Sorry for the bad photo, while driving on this dirt road, I couldn't do any better.
Finally, driving back from there, I also stop at that lake every time. I just like the view, even when the weather isn't too sunny.
Later in the afternoon, I did manage to set some time aside for outdoor activities. I saw Le Chat was outside, so we went behind the front yard, where I knew she would follow.
The two sisters like to spend time together, exploring, or just ignoring each other.
But at some point, Kaia was like "What the hell is she doing?..."
That was our cue to walk to the bigger forest.
I remember Genepi climbing on that very same tree all the time. It used to be much higher, at least half a meter off the ground. Not sure if the ground went up, or the tree went down, or both.
We didn't have a lot of time, but we made our quick Cubiverse vaults detour, simply because I wanted to check out this beautiful sunset sky.
We finished the walk with one more quick loop in the forest.
And instead of our usual detours in the neighborhood, we pretty much straight lined it back home, under another beautiful cloudy sky.
At home, Le Chat greeted us as though we had left for weeks. She's funny!
After that, we spent a few hours preparing our hiking trip at the end of the month. So far, we have the flights, rental car and most of the night accommodations. The main thing left is to decide on the various hikes. I have ideas but we need to check the details. So I guess we're in decent shape.
