I liked your post... I have not had a horse but I like them, and I am sure they are like you described them, I use to feel the same with my dog, Brandy, He seemed to understand when I was sad or sick, because he didn't let me alone and he also leaked me and I could feel his love and understanding. Now he is not with me and when I remember him I feel very sad.
