Con relación a tu pregunta yo se que la Iglesia católica da importancia al calendario litúrgico y por ello se respetan los distintos colores: verde, morado, rojo, blanco, azul y el rosa, los cuales tienen un significado o una simbología. Por ejemplo, El color rosa (color con el que pintaron la Iglesia de Petare) respresenta el amor, la entrega o la generosidad. Y en la Iglesia Católica, los sacerdotes lo utilizan para oficiar la misa correspondiente al tercer domingo de Adviento y en la Eucaristía del cuarto domingo de la Cuaresma, los domingos de la alegría. Me imagino que pudo haber sido por el nombre del santuario: Dulce Nombre de Jesús... La verdad, desconozco el verdadero motivo, solo estoy especulando; sin embargo, en Caracas muchos templos, teatros y sitios declarados como Patrimonios de la Nación están siendo restaurados y pintados con esos colores.
