There are those who say that animals are creatures that come to this world to teach us more than we can teach them, and an evident proof of the previous statement are the pets.

On the first floor of the building where I live, there is a cat that for some years, I do not remember when, came to stay. Since then, she has been fed by the concierge and the caretakers, and we neighbors have adopted her as our pet, among other reasons, to scare away snakes and rodents that may come from the vacant lots nearby.

At one time she had her own offspring, however, she has been alone for quite some time now, with the exception of those of us who live here. As for her offspring, I don't know where they are at present, they were probably adopted or simply left their mother's nest to form their own families.

She usually spends her days under the parked cars, from where she flees in a hurry when she sees their owners arrive to turn them on and leave the building, and there have been many occasions where I have stopped briefly to do a brief photo shoot like this one that I share today in this initiative.

Hay quienes dicen que los animales son criaturas que vienen a este mundo a enseñarnos, más de lo que nosotros podamos enseñarles a ellos, y una prueba evidente de la afirmación anterior, son las mascotas.

En la Planta Baja del edificio donde resido, se encuentra una gata que desde hace algunos años, no recuerdo desde cuando, llegó para quedarse. Desde entonces, es alimentada por la conserje y los vigilantes, y los vecinos la hemos adoptado como nuestra mascota, entre otras razones, para ahuyentar las serpientes y roedores que puedan llegar de los terrenos baldíos que se encuentran en las cercanías.

En un momento llegó a tener sus propias crías, sin embargo, desde hace bastante tiempo se encuentra sola, con la excepción de quienes habitamos aquí. En cuanto a sus hijos, desconozco donde se encuentran actualmente, probablemente fueron adoptados o simplemente abandonaron el nido materno para formar sus propias familias.

Suele pasar sus días debajo de los carros estacionados, de donde huye apresuradamente cuando vé a sus propietarios llegar para encenderlos y salir del edificio, y no han sido pocas las ocasiones donde me he detenido brevemente para realizar una breve sesión fotográfica como esta que hoy comparto dentro de esta iniciativa.
