A pond is a small reservoir of natural or artificially created water in which the flow velocity is low or practically non-existent, commonly used for irrigation, fish breeding, swimming, or purely ornamental purposes.

A few months ago while visiting an urban park located a short distance from my home, I had the opportunity to take some pictures of the vegetation and the pond, which had remained empty for a long time while waterproofing works were being done before filling it again with water for the enjoyment of visitors who come to practice jogging or other sports, or simply to relax in contact with nature.

Un estanque es un pequeño reservorio de agua natural o creado de manera artificial en el que la velocidad del flujo es bajo o prácticamente inexistente, utilizado comúnmente para proveer riego, criar peces, nadar, o con fines meramente ornamentales.

Unos meses atrás mientras visitaba un parque urbano ubicado a corta distancia de mi hogar, tuve la oportunidad de tomar algunas fotos de la vegetación y del estanque, el cual, había permanecido mucho tiempo vacío mientras se le realizaban trabajos de impermeabilización antes de llenarlo nuevamente con agua para el disfrute de los visitantes que acuden, bien sea para practicar jogging u otros deportes, o simplemente relajarse en contacto con la naturaleza.
