Good evening my dearest people, I hope you are excellent and as always I welcome you once again to my art blog, today I come with a drawing in which I was practicing a little painting with not so natural shades or rather usual for skin and hair; I was in recent weeks watching videos and tutorials on how to capture colors a little more reddish, orange or purple and that the skin still looks very good and I wanted to try it for this work. In this case I decided to create this character that I called Sailyn, and I wanted to use very pink tones for the skin and a lot of green for the other areas; and well I leave you with the process and I hope you like it very much:
Buenas noches mi queridísima gente, espero que se encuentren excelente y como siempre les doy la bienvenida una vez mas a mi blog de arte, el día de hoy les vengo con un dibujo en el cual estuve practicando un poco el pintado con tonalidades no tan naturales o mejor dicho habituales para piel y cabello; estuve en las ultimas semanas viendo videos y tutoriales de como plasmar colores un poco mas rojizos, naranjas o morados y que la piel aun así se vea muy bien y quería intentarlo para esta obra. En este caso decidí crear a este personaje que llame Sailyn, y quise usar tonos muy rosados para la piel y mucho verde para las demás zonas; y bueno los dejo con el proceso y espero les guste mucho:
PROCESS / PROCESO
The first thing when creating my drawing was to start sketching Sailyn trying to achieve for her a structure that I liked, I chose in this case to draw her as if she was very thoughtful and uneasy about something that crosses her mind; finally I gave a long shape to her hair and then I moved to the outline of the sketch to be able to paint the sketch in a better way.
Lo primero a la hora de crear mi dibujo fue empezar bocetando a Sailyn tratando de lograr para ella una estructura que me gustara, opte en este caso por dibujarla como si estuviera muy pensativa e intranquila por algo que se atraviesa por su mente; finalmente le di una forma larga a su cabello y de una me pase al delineado del boceto para poder pintar el boceto de una mejor manera.
As I mentioned before for the skin section I decided to use a reddish color as a base to experiment a little with the skin, then on that base I applied tones with a lot of patience and with very soft strokes with the watercolor brush; then varying a little the tones I created what would be the volume with certain clear strokes for the areas where the skin comes in contact with the light. After having the shape and volume of the face ready the next thing I did was to blend everything very well and add some blush to the cheeks with airbrush; then for the eyes I did a similar process but here I used green tones a little brighter, I was detailing the inner part of the eye and above all I gave good volume to the lips to make them look much more realistic.
Como les había comentado antes para el apartado de la piel decidí usar un color rojizo como base para experimentar un poco con la piel, luego sobre esa base fui aplicando tonos con mucha paciencia y con trazos muy suaves con el pincel acuarela; luego variando un poco los tonos fui creando lo que serian el volumen con ciertos trazos claros para las zonas donde la piel entra en contacto con la luz. Después de tener la forma y volumen del rostro bien listo lo siguiente que hice fue difuminar todo muy bien y añadir cierto rubor a los cachetes con aerógrafo; luego para los ojos hice un proceso similar solo que aquí use tonos verdes un poco mas brillantes, fui detallando la parte interna del ojo y sobre todo le di buen volumen a los labios para que pareciera mucho más realistas.
The next step in the process of painting Sailyn was the construction of her clothes, in this case I decided to paint her clothes as a kind of textured sweater; first I was making strokes to give a little shape to the bust and arms that would be covered by the sweater, and finally with a brush of the program (Sai) I textured the sweater and above all I gave her that pattern of bird feathers all over the fabric. The painting of the hair was a little simpler than the previous one since I have experience painting hair, in this case I also went for green tones and painted the hair in a light green almost reaching the white color; little by little I painted the locks in a loose and a little crazy way to make them look as natural and realistic as possible.
El siguiente paso en el proceso de pintado de Sailyn fue el de la construcción de su ropa, en este caso me anime a pintar su ropa como una especie de suéter con textura; primero fui realizando trazos para darle un poco de forma al busto y los brazos que estarían cubiertos por el suéter, y por último con un pincel del programa (Sai) texturice el suéter y sobre todo le di ese patrón de plumas de ave por toda la tela. El pintado del cabello fue un poco mas sencillo que el anterior ya que tengo experiencia pintando cabello, en este caso me fui también por tonos verdes y pinte en pelo de un verde claro casi que llegando al color blanco; poco a poco fui pintando los mechones de manera suelta y un poco alocados para que se vieran lo mas naturales y realistas posibles.
For the final part I only dedicated myself to accompany the drawing creating a kind of background as if it were a wall of a room, a room where Sailyn is locked up with the thoughts that torment her head at that moment; I textured a little the background wall with a pattern of flowers and old vegetation very scattered. I also decided to add a couple more layers of shadows to give a little more depth to my drawing; but what really gave it that cool touch at the end were some high glows that I added to Sailyn's front, with which I could give a little more warmth to the skin and hair.
Ya para la parte final solo me dedique a acompañar un poco el dibujo creando una especie de fondo como si se tratara de una pared de algún cuarto, un cuarto donde Sailyn se encuentra encerrada con los pensamientos que atormentan su cabeza en ese momento; texturice un poco la pared del fondo con un patrón como de flores y vegetación antigua muy dispersa. También decidí añadir un par de capas mas de sombras para poder darle un poco mas de profundidad a mi dibujo; pero lo que realmente le dio ese toque genial al final fueron algunos brillos altos que agregué al frente de Sailyn, con los cuales pude darle un poco mas de calidez a la piel y el cabello.
