Sorry for the late reply! haha, there is not a very specific method in the madness as those sketches are completely experimental which means, I dont really pre plan anything on those designs and just go with the flow as I go and trying to figure out interesting shapes and patterns along the way. When it comes to the colors, perhaps this is the only part of the process that feels more "directed" as I indeed in fact choose two (or more) complementary colors for shading! and its also, most of the times my only "guide" to build upon, while continue exploring without having a strict image on head.
