PHOEBE COUNTDOWN ...4-2-0

Looking back at the nesting Phoebe "Flycatchers" photos & using some photoshop zoom...

4 FOUR

Definitely there were four ready to fledge the nest

At this point I kept my Jeep out of the carport where the nest was up above in the over turned canoe...

It took awhile (days) for them to leave the nest...

Then it appeared there were only two... with the parent birds still around caring for them...I guess two had left (fledged) and the other two stayed...

2 TWO

These two didn't seem to want to leave... now that they have more room in the nest...with mom and pop still feeding them...

0 ZERO

I checked the nest with a ladder to make sure it was empty... The first nest the Phoebe's lost one baby...The nest was empty with no signs of any Phoebe around...

Looks like a successful rearing of all four babies...
