Greetings, fellow sentient beings! Please, if you belong to any of the Mycolite Tribes, do not read any further. We're about to discuss the edibility of your kind here...
All right, not much to discuss. We pick shrooms sometimes and we eat wild mushrooms but we stick to the few we're sure we know.
THIS ARTICLE IS NOT A GUIDE. SOME OF WHAT IS IN THE PICTURES MIGHT BE EXTREMELY POISONOUS.
I shot it anyway because it does not poison you through your camera's lens. But mushrooms can be deadly in very small quantities and even in proximity to edible cousins of theirs.
The three kinds we kept for cooking were...
Agaricus Bisporus — Common/Field Mushroom or Toadstool. We call it "Печурка".
Macrolepiota Procera — Parasol Mushroom. We call it "Сърнела". Also the one from the first image.
Marasimus caryophylleus — Translation Not Found. We call it "Челядинка" its etymology coming from an archaic word for offspring because they grow in...numbers.
Let me get back to where it started. It was a non-beer Saturday morning with some sunshine through the window. It made us creep out from our bunk and ride the car away from the city and toward the hills. For about twenty or thirty minutes before we were where we've never been before. And we spotted a small dam with fishermen around it so we parked near the road and went out for a walk. Windy...Wet...
Wet...
Mushrooms!
And that about sums it up. It was freelance picking from thereon. Here are the finds we found...
Such mushrooms are often found in nature in these parts of the world.
I feel so close! When full of coffee coffee cups start growing in the wild, I am quitting civilization. What better could it possibly bring?
What you don't know can be hurt by you.
We found those like that.
So...about what you don't know. Do you go full rampage and upturn and smash it all or do you leave it to those who might know it better? Because there are probably fine edible thingies among those we skipped.
Take care!
Yours,
Manol
