Greetings, fellow sentient beings!

A couple of weeks ago I made my first flight with a drone...wait, I flew a drone but I did not fly...over Veleka river near the point where it joins the Black Sea.

The photograph below was taken while I stood on the beach, looking towards that distant shore, the sea behind me. The wild area starts just across the river...or with the river, if you like. Part of the Strandzha Mountain National Park.

Taken with a drone over Veleka River, Bulgaria. Tilt-shift effect filter applied during editing.

This was a good opportunity to practice two things. Two things related to the visual, the aesthetic qualities of my photography.

First, to me, this is the right angle to try and apply tilt-shift effects and look close to genuine. From above but not straight down. Well, it could fo even more successful if I align with the coast and follow its lead but then again, in this case...

...Second, the opportunity to practice a diagonal composition of the frame, try and remain minimalistic, and...actually, that's all in my head right now.

I have this small boat accent and it could have been more perfectly placed, but well...I preferred keeping it as it was.

Otherwise, I could have edited it by copying it somewhere else and then erasing the original.

Come on, it's a rough example! I know you know I can do better.

Keep Calm
And
Row, Row, Row Your Boat...

Yours,
