...Or something like that. With the proper tune and voice, it should resemble the Afraid to Shoot Strangers song by Iron Maiden.
Anyway, everything has its first time. I had seen no flamingos on my native soil...or muddy water, or anything territory related albeit wet.
This is a salt lake just north of Burgas, one of Bulgaria's major ports. It's also on the Via Pontica (after the Black Sea) bird migration route.
Still, flamingoes are, in my mind, tropical birds and we're not exactly among the other tropical kids on the map.
In short, we're lucky to stumble upon such large exotic specimen.
Camera Settings:
Aperture F 4; Shutter Speed 1/4000 of a second; Light Sensitivity ISO 200; Focal Length 200 mm.
Camera Model:
Canon EOS 2000D with a 70-200 4 L lens.
This was also the first time I tried this new camera body (an entry level or so model but oh, well....) with my old 70-200 4 L zoom lens. The camera's body has got no major advantages to my old one other than the number of pixels that I could crop and still have a large, sharp image.
My flamingo models shied away, little by little, heads under the surface. Probably not noticing them freaking' tourists (myself, for one) but gaining some diplomatic distance, anyway.
How about more zoom? Well, not now, not this time connected to those times.
And it's otherwise pink. Not very visible even on the colorful versions of the photograph. It's worth it enjoying s...eh...
Can't think. Must tell you good night.
Good night!
