It’s a cold summer night, adorned by an air of serenity, the scenery is peaceful but almost lonely. As I stare into the starry night sky, I am filled with a sense of nostalgia, a longing to return home. I am haunted by phantom memories I can barely recall. They linger on the very edge of my perception, fragments of a forgotten past, as I reach out they slip from my grasp. I see the lightening in the distance, its most elegant patterns grace the sky, so powerful yet so delicate. Pregnant clouds fill my view like ornate curtains closing on a stage performance. Loud sonorous voices fill the air, as giants in converse discussing my fate. The rain pours, my senses masked by the torrent, I close my eyes and fall into myself floating away in a sea of consciousness.
