RIP McAfee
Bitcoin is a better solution than most things that we'd use most right now and might possibly be the most powerful brand in the history of the planet.
I actually do agree with a lot of premisses used by the maxis, especially for their interpretations of how the Stock Markets can use Bitcoin Assets. They lose me as soon as we talk lightning network, which is very problematic in its nature. Most BTC is owned by Banks or whales, no big deal. The Pareto Distribution will always occur, that's a given. The point you make about the BTC Forks also is right on the money, there have been many and there will be a lot more, it's not settled yet which fork will be the biggest 20years from now.
It seems to me that global markets need way more transactive vessels of value, boxed and isolated inside of different value systems, which only interact via interfaces like DEXs. There's no upper limit on how much wealth we can create, as soon as we find the willpower and courage to actually hustle and implement real solutions. What we've done until now was limit ourselves to certain systems and overprotect them to an extent where we could not extend the globally created wealth to a degree that really changes everything for everybody. Bitcoin can play a role in the scenario of a better future for humans that belong to the global citizen class, because of its brand power, current adoption, and widespread acceptance in the legacy banking system. You wrote about how the Banking system is rejecting Crypto in one of you post long comments because it doesn't fit. You're right about that, but they can still #hodl and use it as an interface to secondary decentralized financial markets. The DEFI markets will power future economies borderless and permissionless, but never the less they will need bridges to the legacy systems and BTC is a good solution for that. In my opinion way better then stablecoins.
