Last time I used Mint (2-4 years ago, probably) it made a really good windows-like Linux distro that just worked for your standard office and web browsing stuffs.
I've once installed it for for someone technically initerate as 'Windows 10' and he has never been happier with it.
He can do his taxes, check fuel prices and watch the occasional YT video just fine.
Every now and then I ssh into his machine and do security updates without him even knowing.
It's great for that usecase, in my opinion, and as far as I can see, that's the type of user that Mint is targeting..
