Woke up early around 6.30 am today and wished mum a very happy birthday (birthday wishes). Then hit the bed hard again and woke up at 9:00 am. I felt today was the day I would change my routine and that I would hit the gym and everything. But unfortunately, it wasn't. I was disappointed that the gift I had ordered from Amazon for mum had not yet arrived. And she was not too happy that I didn't gift her anything. So I couldn't help myself but show her the Amazon shipping status of her gift. She felt a little better after that.
I headed to Rahul's place around 11:00 am to begin bank nifty trading. Rahul hadn't reached so I headed to Starbucks. Ended up paying Rs.236 for a small cup of coffee. Why do they charge so much for a coffee that's hardly worth Rs.20? It dumbfounded me.
But looking on the bright side, I found interesting people that I could strike conversations with (girls obviously). Then I was in Rahul's place and back to trading.
I put in three trades today with an overall profit of Rs.1500 (23 dollars). Here are my trades
Bought BankNifty 24363 at 12:05 pm and Sold at 24373 at 12:30 pm with a profit of Rs. 400
The reason I bought was that the Lower EMA(10) was above the higher EMA(20) and stochaistics MTM was still pretty less. So there were chances for the upsideSold BankNifty 24373.6 at 13:32 pm and Bought back at 24350 at 13:46 pm with a profit of Rs.750. (Nifty fell to 24330)
The reason I sold was that there was a big mushroom in Stochaistics MTM formed at the top and the higher EMA(20) was above the lower EMA(10) so chances for the downside was more.Sold BankNifty 24374 at 14:43 pm and Bought back at 24370 at 15:16 pm with a profit of Rs.350
So ended up with a net profit of Rs.1502. (The taxes are Rs.250 per trade so I don't know if I'll be with a net profit or not when I get a mail from my broker). But I'm glad I ended on the upside today.
Played two chess games with Rahul. I lost the first one and the second one is still in progress which will be continued tomorrow. We've just played Sicilian so far. Hoping to learn some Sicilian soon. We ate benne masala dosa for lunch in the famous Shri Sagar of Malleshwaram, Bangalore. Got back to his place and played the guitar for a bit and then I left.
Bought cake for mum from Ammas pastries and found the church pastor at home when I reached. We partook in a small prayer and cake cutting and the pastor left. Then we waited for Emma to come back from office and we all went out and had dinner. All in all, it was a splendid day and I think my mum liked it a lot.
