Meaning: Just as a tree’s roots anchor it to the ground, one’s home serves as the anchor of one’s life. When the earthquake struck, the very anchors of Barpak’s people shook and crumbled down. To no avail, they were trying to protect their homes but they inevitably fell to pieces. In that moment, and countless since then, their souls shed tears of pain and misery.
