Photo sharing site Flickr has announced to be sold. Flickr and smugmug site, according to the professional photo hosting company Smugmug , is buying Flickr for unpublished amount. Flickr's journey began in 2004, which Yahoo bought in 2005. After that, Flickr continues under Yahoo.
The smugge started in 2002, but it is not known as Flickr because it does not have any free services.
While Flickr went far ahead of Yahoo!, where Yahoo itself has sold last year, the future of Flickr was very much in sync. US Telecom giant Verizon bought Yahoo for $ 4.5 billion last year (the deal was completed). Now, Verizon sold Flickr now and sold it to Verizon.
Smugmug said Flickr users will still be able to use Flickr with the same username-password, and the photo address will work as usual. Both expectations are expected to improve both the services.
