Happy New Year, friends!

Today is finally 2018! It’s crazy to think how fast time has flown by. I still am quite amazed at how much can change in a year. 2017 was a year of focusing on myself. I am finally healed of my anxiety and my depression. As I look back at 2017 and what has happened all of last year, it comes with a mixture of a negative and positive connotation. 2017 wasn’t exactly what I had imagined, but it sure taught me a lot.

On New Year’s Eve, my pastor discussed turning the page in your book. He talked about how sometimes we are stuck looking back and not able to turn the page and move forward because we are looking for an answer. Are you stuck looking back at a relationship trying to get closure? Are you angry and frustrated because someone hurt you? Or maybe you’re just angry with yourself because of the current circumstances you are in looking back trying to find an answer.

Sometimes the best way to get your answer is to turn the page. I never thought I would be where I am today, but through my faith and trust in God, I was able to come out stronger. God has played such a huge role in my life. I never was one to be religious and I was always skeptical about going to church, but what made me open up my faith was knowing that we are always divinely guided in everything we do. We just have to follow the signs and learn to let go. Sometimes letting go means turn the page of your book and having faith that what is on the next page is sometimes better than we ever expected. And maybe, just maybe, your answer is right there as well.
