Recently, my best friend had invited me to her company party. So, I agreed to go and decided to take the trip from Arizona to San Diego to attend her little soiree. It was a long 5 1/2 hour drive with absolutely no amazing views other than desert and a couple gas stations and fast food restaurants. I started my drive at 6 am and was so hungry by the 3-hour mark that I decided to make a pit stop at the next exit. I was praying that I could find some healthy restaurant or food around. I, then, randomly saw a pile of palm trees smack dab in the middle of the desert.
"What the heck is that?"
As I drove down an unpaved, dusty road, I was getting closer and closer to these gigantic thick luscious palm trees. They were all lined up in a row. So beautiful. So mesmerizing.
There was a little tourist shop with Quiznos inside. I walked inside and they alongside Quiznos were shelves filled with lbs of dates.
"Where the heck am I?"
Well, I ended up in Dateland! Those beautiful trees weren't palm trees, they were date palms! I was so grateful that my prayers were answered and that I got to see such a beautiful little oasis in the middle of the desert that I called my best friend excited.
I know that it may not be a miracle to some people, but I definitely did celebrate it like a miracle. I believe that when we celebrate the small miracles in our lives, we can truly look back at our life and see how much of our life has been a miracle.
There have been numerous studies that show when we celebrate the small wins at work, we can boost our work life tremendously. So, how about we apply that to our personal lives so that we can truly live a happier, more full-filled life.
