Welcome back to another fresh Splinterlands post, and I hope all of you are doing pretty great in your lives and enjoying another wonderful and colorful day with your family and friends. I also hope your ranked battles have been going really well this ongoing ranked season and that you are steadily climbing the trophy ladder towards your goal, while unlocking those shiny rewards along your way. Anyways, whether your goal is reaching a higher league tier and collecting more rewards, or securing a position on the champion top leaderboard, I heartily wish every one of you the very best. Now looking at the current ranked season, there are still around 7 days and 20 hours remaining before it comes to an end, so I think this is probably the best time to start making some serious trophy pushes from now on before the final rush begins.
Now, talking about my own progress in the Frontier mode in this game, I am currently battling in the highest Gold I league with 4,120 trophies. I am finally getting closer to my first seasonal target of reaching the 4,200 trophy milestone once again. After achieving that, my next objective will be to continue climbing toward 4,300 trophies and then hopefully chase a leaderboard position if I still have enough Battle Energy and enough free time remaining. Looking at this week's raffle progress, I currently have 27 raffle entries collected so far. There are still around 3 days and 19 hours remaining before the raffle comes to an end, so my target once again is somewhere between 57 and 60 raffle entries before the timer expires.
Today's Frontier Daily Wheel was another decent one for me. This time I received 150 Sparks together with another 30 Sparks from my daily 20% streak bonus. I have now successfully maintained my login streak for 66 consecutive days, and thanks to today's rewards, my total Sparks balance has now increased to 24,766 Sparks.
I am also slowly building a nice reserve that I can use for the latest upgrades in the spark purchase shop. Yes, 5 new cards from foundation 'extra' edition cards have been launched and can be ontained through daily frontier reward chests and from sparks shop. In the shop, each of them costs 30k sparks per BCX. So, even to buy one, I still have to save a bunch of more.
Apart from that, today I also opened 6 Foundation Packs that I earned from the last two days' daily missions. The results turned out to be quite satisfying this time. I managed to pull 1 Legendary card, 1 Epic card, an amazing Gold Foil Rare Archon, another 4 Rare cards including 1 regular Archon, 2 Gold Foil Common cards, while the remaining cards were all regular Common cards. Pulling both a Gold Foil Rare Archon and another normal Archon from only six packs definitely made today's opening feel rewarding, so I am very pleased with the outcome.
Now moving on to today's featured monster, let me introduce another interesting reward card from the newest Conclave Arcana Reward card set. As you have already seen in the title and thumbnail above, today we will be taking a closer look at Voss. So, let's begin.
The Voss was first seen in the game with the launch of the newest Conclave Arcana Reward card set. Voss belongs to the Fire element and comes from the Avian bloodline. It is listed as an Epic monster card, meaning players need a total of 46 CC cards to fully upgrade it to its maximum level. This monster costs only 4 mana to deploy, making it an excellent option for low, medium, and even Little League ruleset battles. Voss uses Magic attacks to directly damage enemy Health, ignoring Armor under normal circumstances. At maximum level, this monster unlocks three useful abilities that significantly improve its overall utility. Let us now take a closer look at its stats and abilities across different leagues.
At Level 2, Voss possesses 1 Magic attack, 1 Speed, and 4 Health. Right from this level, it already gains two useful abilities called Bloodline Tribute and Void.
BLOODLINE TRIBUTE – When defeated, all allied units sharing this monster's bloodline gain +1 Speed, +1 Armor, +1 Health, and +1 Power to each shared attack type.
VOID – Receives 50% less damage from Magic attacks (rounded up), while Magic attacks with only 1 power deal no damage at all.
At Level 3, the monster improves to 2 Magic attack while maintaining 1 Speed and 4 Health. Although no new ability is unlocked at this level, the increase in Magic damage allows Voss to become a much more threatening offensive unit while still retaining its valuable defensive abilities.
At Level 5, Voss reaches 3 Magic attack together with 3 Speed and 4 Health. The substantial increase in Speed greatly improves its chances of attacking before many enemy monsters while also making it slightly more difficult to hit with physical attacks.
At Level 6, Voss reaches its maximum form with 3 Magic attack, 3 Speed, and 6 Health. At this level, it unlocks its final ability called Magic Reflect.
MAGIC REFLECT – Returns 50% of the incoming Magic damage (rounded up) back to the attacker whenever hit by a Magic attack.
Last but not least, I think Voss is one of the most anti-magic low-mana reward monsters available in the current Conclave Arcana Reward card set. The very first thing that impressed me is its affordable mana cost. Since it costs only 4 mana, this monster can easily fit into almost every type of battle, including low mana limit matches and even Little League rulesets. Despite its low cost, it still offers good Magic damage together with a surprisingly big amount of Health, making it much more durable than many other low-cost Magic monsters. Another feature that I really like is the Bloodline Tribute ability. Although it requires some planning, it can become incredibly rewarding when you build your lineup around monsters sharing the same bloodline. Once Voss is defeated, your remaining allied monsters receive valuable stat increases, making them even stronger during the later stages of the battle. The Void ability is another major advantage of this monster that cuts down magic attacks to half (rounded up). Especially against weaker Magic attackers with only 1 attack power, it becomes frustrating for your opponent because those attacks deal absolutely no damage. Finally, the combination of Void and Magic Reflect is what truly makes this monster shine. While Void significantly reduces the incoming Magic damage, Magic Reflect immediately punishes enemy Magic attackers by sending half of that damage right back at them. Together, these two abilities create one of the strongest anti-magic combinations available on such a low-cost monster. Overall, I believe Voss is an outstanding reward card that combines efficient Magic damage, excellent survivability, useful team support, and powerful anti-magic capabilities into one affordable package. It is definitely a monster worth upgrading if you enjoy playing Magic-focused or defensive lineups.
