Splinterlands Ironwing Juggernaut | Low mana deadly attacker
Hello my fellow Splinterlands Warriors,
Welcome back to another amazingly amazing Splinterlands post, and I hope all of you are doing pretty well in your lives and enjoying an awesome day with your family and friends. Now, if you are one of those undefeated souls who are actively engaging in this Web3 card-based strategy game, then I hope you are actively playing in this ongoing ranked season as well. If you look closely, only 1 day and 19 hours are left before this season ends, so the clock is ticking faster, and it is time to give our best in the remaining battles. Whether you are playing to reach a particular league tier or for a glorious spot in the top champion leaderboard, I hope you reach there quicker this time.
Now, talking about me, I am currently playing in the highest Gold I league as usual with 3,825 trophies, and my next target is to reach 4,200 trophies. I will try my best to reach that goal before the season ends, and if things go well, I will also try to push higher on the leaderboard. Let's see how far I can go! Moving on to the weekly raffle, I currently have 12 entries, and there are still 5 days and 18 hours left before the raffle ends. My target is to reach somewhere between 54 and 57 entries this time. There is still plenty of time to collect more entries, so I will keep working towards that goal and hope for some good luck when the results are announced.
Now, talking about my daily activity, today marks my 148th consecutive streak day in Splinterlands. I received 150 Sparks along with another 38 bonus Sparks, which brings my total Sparks balance to 22,465. Keeping this streak alive feels great, and I will continue playing and collecting rewards as long as possible. Every little reward counts, especially when we are trying to make steady progress in the game.
I also opened 8 foundation packs collected over the last three days from playing the frontier mode. The opening gave me 1 Epic card, 1 Rare Gold Foil card and 9 Rare cards, including 2 Archons, while the remaining cards were Common ones. Not a bad collection of rewards, I would say, and getting a Gold Foil card always makes a pack opening a little more exciting!
Ironwing Juggernaut
Now moving on to today's featured monster, let us take a closer look at another interesting monster from the newest Reward card set. As you have already seen in the title above, today we will be discussing Ironwing Juggernaut, a low-mana monster that can be a deadly attacker. So, if you are interested in knowing more about this Neutral monster and its abilities, then let's take a deep dive without any further ado.
Ironwing Juggernaut is a monster type card that was first seen in the game with the launch of the latest reward edition card set. This monster belongs to the Avian bloodline and comes as a Common type card. It costs only 3 Mana, so you can easily fit it into literally any match. It uses Melee attacks, and its low mana cost, it has some impressive defensive stats and a set of abilities that can make it useful in many different battles. At its maximum level, this monster possesses 4 abilities, making it an interesting option for players who want to get more value from a small mana cost. As a Common card, you will need 400 CC cards to upgrade Ironwing Juggernaut to its maximum level. Let's now take a look at its stats and abilities at different league levels.
BRONZE
At Level 3, Ironwing Juggernaut possesses a good stats of 2 Melee attack, 3 Speed, 3 Armor, and 4 Health, along with 2 abilities. Even at the Bronze level, this monster already has a solid defensive setup for a card that costs just 3 Mana.
WEARY – At the beginning of round 1, Weary units have a 10% chance to become Exhausted. This chance increases by 10% every round up to a maximum of 80%. Exhausted units skip their turn and cannot retaliate.
CHARGE – Allows this monster to use Melee attacks from any position.
SILVER
At Level 5, Ironwing Juggernaut increases its stats a bit to 2 Melee attack, 3 Speed, 3 Armor, and 5 Health and also gets a new ability.
TRUE STRIKE – Attacks will never miss.
GOLD
At Level 8, Ironwing Juggernaut possesses 3 Melee attack, 3 Speed, 4 Armor, and 6 Health. Its attack increases to 3, while both Armor and Health also improve. This makes Ironwing Juggernaut an even more dangerous attacker while giving it a stronger defensive foundation.
DIAMOND / CHAMPION
At Level 10, Ironwing Juggernaut possesses 3 Melee attack, 3 Speed, 5 Armor, and 7 Health. At its maximum level, this monster gains another defensive ability that makes its Armor more valuable against magic attacks.
VOID ARMOR – Magic damage hits Armor before Health.
My Opinion About the Monster
In my opinion, Ironwing Juggernaut is a very interesting monster because of its impressive overall stats for an unbelievable cost of just 3 Mana. Usually, when we look for low-mana monsters, we have to make some compromises. They might have low Health, weak attacks, or very few useful abilities. But Ironwing Juggernaut offers a good combination of offense and defense, making it a card worth considering when building a team with a limited Mana budget. The first thing I like about this monster is its Armor and Health. Even at Bronze, it has 3 Armor and 4 Health, which is a pretty solid defensive combination for a 3-Mana monster. The Weary ability is the main drawback we need to keep in mind. Ironwing Juggernaut can become Exhausted and skip its turn, with the chance increasing as the battle continues. So, while this ability does not protect the monster from becoming Exhausted, the card's other strengths may still make it worth using. Another feature I really like is Charge. This ability allows Ironwing Juggernaut to attack from any position, which gives us much more flexibility when arranging our lineup. We can use it in a way that suits our battle strategy instead of worrying about keeping it in a specific position to make its Melee attacks work. True Strike is another excellent ability. Its attacks will never miss, which is especially useful against monsters that rely on high Speed, Dodge, or Flying to avoid incoming attacks. We all know how frustrating it can be when an important attack misses at the worst possible moment. Finally, Void Armor gives this monster another layer of defence against Magic attacks by making Magic damage hit Armor before Health. Combined with its growing Armor and Health at higher levels, this ability can help it stand up better against magic-based opponents.
Overall, Ironwing Juggernaut looks like a strong low-mana option with an interesting mix of offence, durability, and useful abilities. The Weary drawback means it is not completely reliable, but the rest of its kit gives us plenty of reasons to consider adding it to our lineup. If you enjoy finding monsters that provide excellent value without consuming too much Mana, this is definitely one to keep an eye on!
