Hello my fellow Splinterlands Warriors,
Welcome back to another cool and awesome Splinterlands post, and I hope all of you are doing well in your lives and enjoying an energetic day with your family and friends. Now, if you are one of those hardcore players who are actively engaging in this Web3 strategy game, then I hope you are actively playing in this ongoing frontier and ranked season as well. We have 12 days and 5 hours left before this season ends, so there is still plenty of time to improve our trophy count, collect rewards and work towards our season goals. My first target is to reach 4000 trophies, and after that, I will try my best to push further and aim for a place on the leaderboard.
As for my current game progress, I am currently playing in the highest Gold I league with 2920 trophies. There is still a lengthy distance between my current trophy count and my target of 4000, but the season has only just started, so I have enough time to work on it. I will continue playing ranked battles and hopefully make steady progress over the coming days. Moving on to the weekly raffle, I currently have 9 entries, and there are 6 days and 4 hours left before it ends. My target is to collect between 54 and 57 entries. I have a long way to go, but I will keep collecting entries through the available activities and try to reach my target before the deadline.
Today is my 169th consecutive day of playing Splinterlands, and I received 1 Battle Energy from my daily activity. My total Sparks balance has now reached 25373. Every day brings another opportunity to collect rewards from the daily wheel and keep progressing, and I am happy to see my daily streak continuing.
Today, I also opened 9 packs, which I earned from the mission rewards collected over the last three days. This was quite an exciting pack-opening session! I received 3 Legendary cards, 2 Epic cards, 1 Gold Foil Rare, and 10 Rare cards, including 3 Archons. The rest were Common cards. Getting three Legendary cards along with two Epics is a fantastic result, and the additional Archons and Gold Foil Rare make this session even better. These rewards will certainly add some interesting cards to my collection.
Hrolfa
Now moving on to today's featured monster, let us take a closer look at another interesting monster from the newest Extra edition card set. As you have already seen in the title above, today we will be discussing Hrolfa, an armor-friendly Ranged monster. So, if you are interested in knowing more about this monster and its abilities, then let's take a deep dive without any further ado.
Hrolfa is a monster type card that was fiest seen in the game with launch of the latest extra edition cardset. It has a mana cost of 6 and uses Ranged attacks. It comes with a good combination of attack power, Speed, Armor and Health, making it a useful option for lineups that need both offensive power and defensive support. At maximum level, it unlocks four battle abilities that can improve the Armor of allied units, repair damaged Armor, support Sneak attackers, and help Hrolfa evade physical attacks. Now, since Hrolfa is an Epic monster, you will need 46 CC to reach its maximum level. Its abilities unlock progressively as it levels up, so let us take a closer look at its stats and abilities at each league level.
BRONZE
At Level 2, Hrolfa possesses 2 Ranged attack, 3 Speed, 1 Armor, and 4 Health. For a 6-Mana monster, these are decent stats, especially considering that it already has an ability that supports the entire team.
PROTECT – Gives +2 Armor to all allied units.
SILVER
At Level 3, Hrolfa possesses 2 Ranged attack, 3 Speed, 1 Armor, and 4 Health. Its basic stats remain unchanged from Bronze, but it unlocks another ability that makes it even more useful as a support monster.
REPAIR – Restores up to 2 Armor to the allied unit that has suffered the greatest Armor damage.
GOLD
At Level 5, Hrolfa possesses 3 Ranged attack, 3 Speed, 2 Armor, and 4 Health. Its Ranged attack increases to 3, and it also gains an additional point of Armor. These improvements make it more capable of dealing damage while maintaining its defensive role.
PINPOINT – Allied Sneak monsters cannot miss.
DIAMOND / CHAMPION
At Level 6, Hrolfa possesses 3 Ranged attack, 3 Speed, 2 Armor, and 5 Health. Its Health increases by one point, giving it a little more durability while retaining the same attack power, Speed, and Armor.
DODGE – Gives this monster a +25% chance to evade physical attacks.
My Opinion About the Monster
In my opinion, Hrolfa is a very useful monster, especially if you are looking for a combination of Ranged attack power and defensive support. Its 6-Mana cost is well justified because it brings a good Ranged attack, decent Speed, and a useful combination of Armor and Health. On top of that, it unlocks four abilities that can benefit both itself and the rest of the team. The first ability, Protect, is one of the reasons why I like this monster. It gives +2 Armor to all allied units, helping your entire team become more resistant to physical attacks. This can be particularly useful when facing opponents who use several Melee and Ranged attackers. Then we have Repair, which is another great defensive ability. It restores up to 2 Armor to the allied unit that has suffered the greatest Armor damage. This means your team can recover some of its lost Armor during battle, helping important monsters stay protected for longer. When combined with Protect, it creates a nice defensive combination, especially against teams that rely heavily on Melee and Ranged attacks. Pinpoint is another ability that I find particularly interesting. If you use Sneak monsters in your lineup, this ability can make a significant difference because allied Sneak monsters cannot miss. This makes their attacks more reliable when targeting enemy backline units. Finally, Dodge gives Hrolfa a 25% chance to evade physical attacks. This is a great defensive addition because it gives the monster another way to avoid incoming damage. When you combine this ability with its Armor and Health, Hrolfa can become more difficult to eliminate through physical attacks.
Overall, I think Hrolfa is a well-balanced monster for its 6 Mana cost. It has a good Ranged attack, useful defensive stats, and four abilities that provide a combination of protection, Armor recovery, reliable Sneak attacks, and evasion. It may not be the most complicated monster to use, but its abilities can fit into several different team strategies. If you want a Ranged attacker that also supports your allied units, Hrolfa is definitely worth considering.
