In this report, I cover the early market action from London on Monday, January 28th, 2019. I look briefly at the precious metals, the stock market, the dollar, and other currencies, the bond market and the price of oil.
Today I look at the events surrounding the political and geopolitical situation in Venezuela and also how that country has been denied access to its gold reserves being held at the Bank of England vaults.
My take from what is going on in Venezuela is that what we are being told is probably not the whole truth of the situation in that country. I show that the excuse we are given that socialism has buried that country's economy does not paint the entire picture.
My conclusions from the Venezuela situation are two: one is that unless you have possession of physical gold or precious metals, in general, you do not own it and the other is that the best way to have some kind of understanding of what is going on in the South American country is to go there and find out for yourself.
