Now, Israel, what does Jehovah your God ask of you, but fear Jehovah your God, that you walk in all his ways, and that you love and serve Jehovah your God with all your heart and with all your soul; that you keep the commandments of Jehovah and his statutes, which I prescribe to you today, so that you may have prosperity? (Deuteronomy 10: 11-12)

These words were spoken by Moses to the people of Israel when they were about to reach the promised land, after walking through the desert for forty years.
Moses was chosen by God to lead this people and despite being considered by God as the meekest man, he did not allow him to step on the promised land, he only let him observe it from afar.
Both the people of Israel with their murmurings against Jehovah and his servant Moses, Aaron and Moses himself, did not step on the promised land, no man of that generation except Caleb and Joshua because they faithfully followed Jehovah.

Moses also angered Jehovah at Tabera, at Masah, and at Kibrot-Hatoaira, and Aaron for ascending and crafting the golden calf.
But God promises what he fulfills and remembered the promise to his servants Abraham Isaac and Jacob and told Moses, get up and march before the people so that they enter and possess the land that they swear to their parents.
For this reason, Moses warned Israel what God really demands and expects of this people whom he brought out with a powerful hand from Egypt, despite not giving it justice for this land because Israel was a hard people to tame.
But God chose Israel for love and there are still promises that protect her, God says I will bless those who bless you and I will curse whoever curses you.
But also for us is that warning, we must fear God, love and serve him with all our strength and soul, and above all, keep his commandments and thus God will prosper us in everything.
