On this new day I want to share an interesting reflection that every Christian has experienced, and refers to the new life in Christ. Reading the Word of God this morning, I stopped to meditate on the biblical portion of Paul's Second Epistle to the Corinthians that says:
Then, if someone is in Christ, the new creature is; old things happened; Behold, they all become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Some say "dirty rags for trash and clean rags to use."
My past way of life was hard and difficult, I faced many situations that led me to savor defeat. It was not easy to face a marital failure with the children involved. Having to face new challenges in life cost me a lot. Raising and educating two children from my first marriage was painful and overwhelming. For a long time I was on the verge of despair, frustrated, anguished, not knowing what to do to keep my two children who were too young at the time of my marriage separation.
Negative thoughts overwhelmed my mind and everything was disappointment in life. You can imagine a desperate mother with two children struggling to feed them, clothes, shoes, education and health. I had to live a strong life with a lot of psychological wear, without hope of anything, and only with my mother's open arms that allowed me to live again with her and my two children.
In addition to this situation, the death of my father occurred, which came to complicate all things emotionally and economically.
New challenges and new demands of life that I had to face because in addition to my two children, my mother was also under my responsibility, which led me to work hard to support the family.
My life without Christ was totally desperate. However, as time went by, I met my new partner and things began to change, although there were still strong psychological and emotional disorders. My husband began attending an evangelical church and finally received Christ in his heart, and I began to observe in him positive changes and lead a peaceful life in complete peace. With the passage of time, he invited me to accompany him to the church, that day I felt that something spiritual would happen in my life and so it was. I made the decision to accompany him and that night I accepted Christ as my personal savior, I felt that an enormous emotional burden was coming out of me and I felt free and full of peace; a great weight had come out of me; Now I was calmer and a wonderful desire began in me to read the word of God, pray and congregate with more passion and love towards Christ. I understood that a new life in Christ had begun in me. I thank God for this new birth and I never tire of testifying of my life and what Christ has done in me.
Today I continue to declare what the Word says in 2 Corinthians 5:17
