I just love the night sky, especially when it's clear and I'm in a dark enough place to see many stars. So yesterday evening I decided to paint such a spot in my little Sakura Sketchbook.

Last Friday I got a really nice bouquet of tulips from a friend. Today I decided to paint a few out of the blue, with no specific plan in mind. Just the paint, the paper and me. Our tomcat jumped on top

On the road to my next creative goal, today I wanted to create another wood texture with watercolor and - this time - ecoline brushpens. It ended up looking like this:

For a very specific project I have in mind, I need to practice painting woord texture. After watching a few instruction movie clips on YouTube I decided to just dive in. This is the result of my first

After a few days of playing around with the wet-in-wet technique, I decided to paint a few edibles from the book I found in the library the other week. The sketchbook I used is from Sakura and its sheets

Yesterday I tried a few different techniques within the subject of leaves. Still so much to try and re-discover. Having fun in the meanwhile. 🙂🍃🌿

On my way to feeling comfortable again with watercolour, I decided to look for a book in the library and make some of the examples in it myself. The book I ended up with is the dutch translation of '50x

Today, me-time was all about taking a walk and getting re-acquainted with watercolour. It has been calling to me for a while now: the paints, the pencils and the lovely, thick paper. Today, I wanted to

Don't we all have people in our lives we'd want to see or hear more often than we do? This is for all of them. 💖

Out of sight, not out of mind

Gisterenavond was Misty, één van onze katten, super schattig en koket. Een nieuw woord flitste door mijn hoofd: kokat! Kijk naar die gevouwen pootjes! 😻

Yesterday evening, one of our cats, Misty, was ubercute and really coquettish. A new word popped up in my head: cocattish! Look at those folded paws! 😻
