One autumn day the circus came to town, and my children's school invited us, so that day we got ready to go and enjoy the show.
My children had never been to the circus while we lived in Venezuela, and personally, I think I only went once with my dad when I was still very young, so it is very vague what my mind can remember, so the three of us were practically getting our first taste of the experience.
We arrived with a group of my son Fabrizzio's friends, and we settled in the bleachers of a huge gymnasium, set up for the show, to which a large number of community kindergartens (pre-school) of the municipality were invited.
After the usual introductions of the sponsors, the show began, with lots of music, clowns, acrobats and surprises.
In one of the presentations, one of the trapeze artists fell into the safety net, and we all got really scared, but when we saw that he was fine, we applauded him to encourage him to continue.
When the clowns arrived, we really got a little bored. I think my kids inherited from me an aversion to those who go out of their way to make others laugh, wearing a red nose, lots of makeup and a big curly wig. But we applauded their effort all the same and waited for the next show while talking about how much we liked it.
At some point the snacks arrived, so we set out to eat the sandwich and juice we were given as a courtesy for attending the event.
Already quite tired from the hustle and bustle, and at the end of the show, we all went out and met outside for the usual control, before getting on the bus to return.
We were really satisfied with the ride, we enjoyed a different afternoon and got to know a part of the city that we had not visited before, so we can say that we made the most of the experience.
