Greetings to all my friends in this beautiful community, I hope you had a very nice day, today I want to share with you a set of photographs that I took in my studio and tell you the story behind this photo session and ask you what you would have done in the same situation.
Un saludo a todos mis amigos en esta bonita comunidad, espero que hayan tenido un muy bonito dia, hoy quiero compartirles un set de fotografias que hice en mi estudio y contarles la historia que hay detras de esta sesion de fotos y preguntarles que hubieran hecho ustedes en la misma situacion.
She hired my services because she wanted to take some photos for her birthday, we had agreed on a day at 3:00 pm, when the day arrived she wrote to me exactly 15 minutes before that she was going to arrive "a little late" because she had not finished doing her makeup.
Ella contrató mis servicios porque queria hacerse unas fotos por su cumpleaños, habiamos acordado un dia a las 3:00pm, al llegar el dia me escribió exactamente 15 minutos antes que iba a llegar "un poco tarde" porque no habia terminado de hacerse el maquillaje.
I explained to her that the photo session time would start running at most at 3:15 pm because I had a photo session with another client right after her at 4:20 pm, and I even offered that we could move her photo session to 6:00 pm; that way I could attend to the other client first and this girl would not lose her session time and could take the photos calmly.
Yo le expliqué que la hora de la sesion de fotos empezaria a correr maximo a las 3:15pm porque tenia una sesion de fotos con otro cliente justo despues de ella a las 4:20 pm y incluso le ofrecí que podiamos mover su sesion de fotos a las 6pm, de esa manera yo podia atender al otro cliente primero y esta chica no perdia tiempo de su sesion de fotos y podia hacer las fotos con tranquilidad.
I explained to her that normally I am not so strict with the schedule, but on this occasion I had a client right after her, so I had to respect the time of the next person who had already confirmed with me for that day.
Le explique que normalmente no soy tan estricto con el horario pero que en esta ocasion tenia un cliente justo despues de ella entonces debia respetar el tiempo de la siguiente persona que ya me habia confirmado para ese dia.
The girl's response was that she already had another commitment later so she couldn't postpone the time of her photo session, that she would still go at the agreed time to take whatever photos we could manage to take, and so it was: she arrived 50 minutes late and we only had 20 minutes of photo session, of which she spent about 10 changing clothes, fixing her hair, and doing the light test.
La respuesta de la chica fue que ella ya tenia un compromiso mas tarde asi que no podia aplazar la hora de su sesion de fotos, que ella igualmente iria a la hora acordada para hacer las fotos que alcanzaramos hacer y así fue, llegó 50 minutos tarde y solo tuvimos 20 minutos de sesion de fotos, de los cuales se gastó unos 10 cambiandose la ropa, arreglandose el cabello y en la prueba de luz.
As we started taking the photos I felt bad for her because I felt we were doing everything very rushed and not with the calmness and patience that characterizes my work, and that was noticeable in the girl because she was also sweating from nerves.
En lo que empezamos a hacer la foto me sentí mal por ella porque sentia que estabamos haciendo todo muy apurado y no con la calma y paciencia que me caracteriza en mi trabajo y eso se notaba en la chica porque ella tambien estaba sudando de los nervios.
In the end, what I did was guide her in a matter of minutes with the poses I already know by heart, so as not to waste time improvising and looking for references, and we managed to pull off these photos against the clock; it was so much so that the girl had not left yet and the next client had already arrived.
And the girl had to pay for the full hour of the photo session even though she only had 20 minutes of time in the studio.
What would you have done?
Al final lo que hice fue guiarla en cuestion de minutos con las poses que ya me sé de memoria, para no perder tiempo improvisando y buscando referencias y logramos sacar adelante estas fotos a contra reloj, fue tanto así que la chica aun no se habia ido y ya habia llegado la siguiente cliente.
Y la chica tuvo que pagar la hora completa de la sesion de fotos aunque solo tuvo 20 minutos de tiempo en el estudio.

All photos were taken with my Canon R8 camera, a 50mm lens at f/4 and two light sources.
At the end of the photo session we were all super happy with the results and I hope you like them as much as we did!
Todas las fotos las tomé con mi camara Canon R8, un lente 50mm a 4/f y dos puntos de luces.
