Over the weekend I helped out a buddy clean out his garage. Originally we were gonna haul everything out to the dump, but then I realized there were several useful items in amongst all the stuff he wanted to have taken to the landfill.
Most of it was cardboard and some old wood scraps that can be burned. The rest was some pretty great stuff to include some golf bags/clubs, new roof shingles, paint, stains, tools, and some interior doors.
Saved a trip to the landfill and gained some useful resources for the homestead. All the while helping my buddy have a nice clean garage. Wins all around!

Here's a sneak peek of the idea I have for my first permanant structure on the property. It will be a 10'x10' simple structure. It will be a place where I can put a bed and small fireplace to stay on the property through the wintertime. It will be the main bathhouse on the land that folks can use for visits when camping down on the land when I get workshops going in the future.
Tomorrow I'll be picking up some logs that my buddy Robbie offered me who just got his hands on a sawmill.
