My take on that is it is an excellent goal but with a slight tweak - make the most money with the least ongoing effort.

Making money without having to work is the best, especially with multiple streams of income.

This is why lately rather than doing consulting gigs I like to get a small % of the business itself!

Yeah, consulting at $$$ per hour is great, but when you stop working you stop earning, and you only have so many hours per day, if instead you take a business that makes $0 and turn it into a business worth a million dollars per year, even if your share is only tiny, it is still more long term :)
