WordPress is a content management system with front-end capabilities, so while you can certainly (and benefit from all the plugins and themes etc available), it would be much simpler to build a lightweight front end for Hive.

I've been thinking about doing it but then I wonder when even community leaders aren't very motivated if it would be wasted effort.

When I look at the list of the top Hive holders and earners, a great percentage are inactive - to the point where they don't comment or curate, let alone create new content.

If you can sit back and "collect rent", and the community looks up to you for doing that, are we going to have a community of builders or rent-seekers?
