I wish I kept mine too from back in the day. The way I approach taking things apart is I take lots of reference photographs so I know what goes where and which way around :)

Do it! Been loving retropie and mister fpga as well as my c64 and amiga actual machines :)

The early 90s was the DOS PC time to shine :)

Oh man, that Cosmac sounds cool - I have been building a couple of computers on a breadboard to relive that era :) I used a teletype in my first gig out of school running backups on the hospital vax/pdp-11

I also learned database development on DOS in my teens, even got a few pounds for helping a store create an inventory system, and created a health visitor logging database for our health promotion department.

If your brother has it then he is sitting on gold, don't let him throw it out! The first XT PC I used had two floppy drives side by side, and ran DOS. Switching disks to do anything useful was such a pain,

Having a disk drive for the C64 where I was would have made you a god amongst men :D I think you mean 32mb of RAM not 32gb?? ;)

Misedo 85 Wow just looked this up - fascinating machine!

Been watching the new documentary on Netflix and they had a whole bit about where Ms Pacman came from - very cool :) The UK was its own little bubble, I think in North America Apple II was a much, much

I didn't know that, that's cool that it was the first 16 bit machine :) When I think of 1980s 16 bit I always think of the PC and 68000 based machines!

Yeah not really built for touch typing ;)

It should be, I think so :)

I haven't seen that FPGA before :) My Papillio has some 8-bit cores such as Z80/CPM and Speccy, and the ZX Next core (TBBlue) is being worked on for other boards - I believe the RAM conversion is the main

Yeah I have the zoom floppy and SD2IEC for my C64 but both are still not 100% as using original hardware and the FPGA solution is still closer. Don't get me wrong, I am a big fan of emulation, but there

That is a good point, you could also look at it as "more lines in the water" - just so long as the other topics don't put people off it can still work. Many "lifestyle influencers"

Just shows what I have been saying all along. Hive will not grow until People stop focusing purely on the rewards/votes It grows up past high school drama

I would say that goes for a lot of folks here :) And in the case of writing for Hive it would be all about finding what works for that - research :)

Great post. You have inspired me to share some tips of my own. One of the key parts I think is the entitlement that all writers share to one degree or another - the idea that because I put in some work

He is good in Mandalorian

There's a lot of folks using Pi for Amiga stuff, along with FPGA and even original hardware. For example, a successful Kickstarter recently was :)
