This is a small tutorial on how to set up a website for free in 15 minutes.
First thing is get a domain like www.yourdomain.com and a hosting package where you can put the website on. This is the only thing you will need to pay yearly. Look around Google to find a good hosting provider. With the hosting provider you can also buy the domain name.
After you have registered your domain name you can start with the website.
You will need to download first FileZilla. This is a little piece of free software you need to upload everything to your server (at your hosting provider). You can download it here.

Then you need to fill in the details in FileZilla to connect to your server:
The details you can find at your hostingprovider. You will need: hosting server, username and password. After that you can click Quickconnect and you are now connected to your server. So you are ready to upload your website.
On the left side in Filezilla you can see the local files on your computer. On the right side you can see the files on the server. To upload a website from your computer right click on the selected files and click Upload. Be sure you have selected to correct folder on the server to upload to. Now your files are on the server and your website is live!
Ok, that’s easy. But we still need a free website to upload. Just choose for WordPress and you are ready to go. First we need to download WordPress. Download the latest version here: https://wordpress.org/download/
The upload all the files with FileZilla to your server as explained above. Some hostingproviders have a service to setup WordPress for you. Then you don’t have to set it up yourself.
After WordPress is uploaded to your server we need to set it up. This are just a few easy steps.
Go to your domain and you see a page in which you need to add your details. Fill in the database details you get from your hosting provider: This is : the database name, database user name, database password and database host. All these details you can get from your hosting provider.
After that you can fill in the website title, website user name and password. Also fill in an email address.
After this WordPress is all set up and ready to go. Now we only have to choose the design of our website.
First we login the backend of the website: go to www.yourdomain.com/wp-admin. Add your username and password and login. Now we need to select a design for our website. WordPress has some build-in free themes to select. Just go to Appearance> Themes
