Only two months ago in May, Wonder Woman was released and broke some serious records globally making it as 'the' most profitable film ever released by DC Extended Universe and one of the highest grossing films of all time. Now today; Warner Bros. Pictures have announced that Wonder Woman 2 is coming and Gal Gadot will be playing the lead role in the upcoming sequel. The announcement was made at Comicon International and she stated:
The story will take place in the U.S., which I think is right. I realized that Wonder Woman 2 is its own great movie. I made Wonder Woman. Now I want to make Wonder Woman 2. It’s a beautiful story to tell, an important time to tell it and with people that I love.
