Today, I close another chapter in my life, and I can’t help but feel a mix of nostalgia and gratitude for everything I’ve experienced in 2024. It has been an incredibly intense year, full of discoveries, reunions, and, above all, unforgettable moments in virtual worlds that accompanied me throughout the days. This post is my way of bidding farewell to the year and congratulating all the gamers in this great community that inspires me and drives me to continue exploring new stories and challenges.
Hoy cierro un capítulo más en mi vida, y no puedo evitar sentir una mezcla de nostalgia y gratitud por todo lo vivido en este 2024. Ha sido un año increíblemente intenso, lleno de descubrimientos, reencuentros y, sobre todo, momentos inolvidables en mundos virtuales que me acompañaron a lo largo de los días. Este post es mi forma de despedir el año y de felicitar a todos los gamers de esta gran comunidad que me inspira y me impulsa a seguir explorando nuevas historias y desafíos.
I want to start with my most recent experience: Battlefield 4, the last game I tried this year. Its multiplayer completely captivated me with the intensity of its battles and the opportunity to immerse myself in massive combat scenarios where every decision matters. I know it will be accompanying me when the New Year's bells ring, and I’m excited to keep honing my skills in this title throughout 2025.
Quiero comenzar con mi experiencia más reciente: Battlefield 4, el último juego que probé este año. Su multijugador me atrapó por completo con la intensidad de sus combates y la posibilidad de sumergirme en batallas masivas donde cada decisión cuenta. Sé que me estará acompañando cuando suenen las campanadas de Año Nuevo, y estoy emocionado por seguir perfeccionando mis habilidades en este título durante el 2025.
This year also took me deep into the landscapes of Middle-earth with The Lord of the Rings: War in the North, a game that, as a Tolkien fan, allowed me to relive the epic struggle against Sauron's forces from a unique perspective. The cooperative gameplay and the game's immersive atmosphere made this experience truly special.
Este año también me llevó a sumergirme en los paisajes de la Tierra Media con The Lord of the Rings: War in the North, un juego que, como fanático de Tolkien, me permitió revivir la épica lucha contra las fuerzas de Sauron desde una perspectiva única. La jugabilidad cooperativa y la atmósfera del juego hicieron de esta experiencia algo realmente especial.
Another highlight was my reunion with Resident Evil 5. Facing the horrors in Kijuju once again, alongside Sheva and Chris, reminded me of how much I love this franchise. The action, combined with just the right amount of tension, kept me hooked from start to finish.
Otro punto alto fue mi reencuentro con Resident Evil 5. Volver a enfrentarme al horror en Kijuju, junto a Sheva y Chris, me recordó lo mucho que amo esta saga. La acción combinada con el toque justo de tensión me mantuvo enganchado de principio a fin.
Speaking of firsts, this year I had my first experience with Dead Space, a franchise I had always wanted to try. The oppressive atmosphere of the USG Ishimura and the psychological terror made me feel fear like never before. It was an unforgettable introduction to the survival horror genre.

La atmósfera opresiva del USG Ishimura y el terror psicológico me hicieron experimentar el miedo como nunca antes. Fue un bautizo inolvidable en el género del survival horror.
I also had the chance to sail the seas with Edward Kenway in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, a game that gave me hours of exploration and adventure while living out the fantasy of being a pirate in the Caribbean.

Tomb Raider (2013) remains one of my favorite experiences this year. Lara Croft's journey, from her initial struggles to becoming a true survivor, captivated me with its engaging narrative and impeccable level design.

I can’t overlook the exploration in Dragon Age: Inquisition, where I delved into a vast world full of magic, intrigue, and memorable characters. The decisions I made in the game made me reflect on the impact of my choices, both within the game and beyond.

The brutal war in Killzone 2 reminded me how ruthless the battlefield can be, while Nathan Drake’s thrilling journey in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves took me to the Himalayas in one of the best adventures I’ve played. Though I still have Uncharted 3 left to finish, I can already tell its narrative will be just as spectacular.
La brutal guerra en Killzone 2 me recordó lo despiadado que puede ser el campo de batalla, mientras que el fascinante viaje de Nathan Drake en Uncharted 2: Among Thieves me llevó a los Himalayas en una de las mejores aventuras que he jugado. Returning to The Last of Us was another thrilling experience, especially after watching the HBO series. Reconnecting with Joel and Ellie deepened my appreciation for this masterpiece even more.

Finally, I want to highlight the emotional journey of Jodie in Beyond: Two Souls, a unique experience that allowed me to explore the connection between the human and the supernatural. And of course, the epic conclusion of Kratos’ story in God of War 3, where every battle echoed with the fury and tragedy of a god seeking redemption.
Finalmente, quiero destacar el viaje emocional de Jodie en Beyond: Two Souls, una experiencia única que me permitió explorar el vínculo entre lo humano y lo sobrenatural, y el épico desenlace de la historia de Kratos en God of War 3, donde cada batalla resonó con la furia y la tragedia de un dios buscando redención.
