Ever since my princess Rosalbita was a little girl she has loved the color purple, when asked what color she wanted something she would say: "moraditooo". Everything, absolutely everything, she chose in this color and all its shades. There was no way she could change her mind and to this day it is still her favorite. It was very difficult to deal with her, she always looked like a Berenjenita. When she went off to get married I went plop, with her purple and vintage decor. OMG, since they only came to get married because they lived and worked in another city, when she arrived I had put flowers of all colors on her naked cake and decorations.

Aunt, she told me: it is a beautiful color, it means transmutation and changes". My pretty Berenjenita wanted me to understand why she loves the color purple. Not that she has anything against that color, but everything around her was purple. I had a purple satin in my stash for a long time and I didn't know what to do with that piece of fabric. In the month of February there were contests and love initiatives, hearts and all those romantic things, I decided to make a purple heart to send it to the first person who decides to go to Chile.

Maybe, maybe I'll be the one to give her purple heart to my Berenjenita, and I'll make a getaway to the beautiful Chilean land. Wow, today I finally finished the heart cushion. But as always I'm late and I don't have time to participate in the contests and initiatives. The internet, electricity and work prevent me from moving in #Hive. I have to start moving and taking action, besides, as daddy used to say, "no ship standing still doesn't earn freight, Becky".

I took advantage of a sewing friend who gave me two bags of waste material from her overlock sewing machine. An idea came to my mind, to use the long scraps and make ruffled lace, in a handmade way. Also, to use this material for the filling of the heart-shaped cushion. I took the pearly white button from a blouse I no longer wear, and I made the little flower from scraps of fabric. I made the heart pattern with a yellow folder and the small heart pattern I used as a guide I painted on a white notebook sheet.

As you already know #Hive friends, I like to recycle; I think there are many things that have lost their useful life, but can be used for other things, it just takes creativity and invention. From the follies and creativity have come great inventions of mankind. We also help the environment a little, recycling within our homes can minimize the impact of pollution by garbage. There are many creative users, who make beauties with their hands and with recyclable material.

Friends of the #needleworkmonday Community, I bring you my project, a heart-shaped and multicolored cushion. I made it, "My way", that is, a la Mafa; it has no big explanations, it is easy to make and for anyone who wants to make this heart. All the sewing was done by hand with back stitch.

Desde que mi princesa Rosalbita era una niña le gusta el color morado, cuando se le preguntaba de qué color deseaba algo decía: “moraditooo”. Todo, absolutamente todo, lo escogía en este color y todas sus tonalidades. No había manera de que ella cambiara de opinión y hasta la fecha sigue siendo su preferido. Era muy difícil lidiar con ella, siempre parecía una Berenjenita. Cuando se fue a casar hice plop, con su decoración morada y vintage. OMG, como solo venían a casarse porque vivían y trabajaban en otra ciudad, cuando llego yo le había puesto flores de todos los colores a su torta desnuda y a la decoración.
Tía, me decía: es un bello color, significa transmutación y cambios”. Mi linda Berenjenita, deseaba que yo entendiera por qué ella ama el color morado. No es que tenga algo en contra de ese color, pero todo a su alrededor era morado. Tenía guardado un raso de color morado, desde hace tiempo y no sabía qué hacer con ese pedazo de tela. En mes de febrero había concursos e iniciativas del amor, corazones y todas esas cosas románticas, decidí hacerle un corazón morado para enviárselo con la primera persona que decida irse a Chile.
Quizás, quizás hasta sea yo misma quien le entregue su corazón moradito a mi Berenjenita, y me dé una escapada hacia la linda tierra chilena. Wuao, hoy, por fin, termine el cojín de corazón. Pero como siempre llego tarde y no me da tiempo a participar en los concursos e iniciativas. El internet, la electricidad y el trabajo impiden que me mueva en #Hive. Tengo que comenzar a moverme y accionar, además como decía papi “barco parado no gana flete, Becky”.
Aproveche que una amiga costurera me regalo dos bolsas de residuos o material de desperdicio de sus costuras, de su máquina de coser overlock. Se me vino una idea a la cabeza, utilizar los retazos largos y elaborar encajes fruncidos, de manera artesanal. También, utilizar este material para el relleno del cojín de corazón. El botón blanco perlado, se lo, quite a una blusa que ya no uso, y la florecita la hice de retazos de tela. El patrón del corazón lo hice con una carpeta amarilla y el patrón del corazón pequeño que use de guía lo pinte en una hoja blanca de cuaderno.
Como ya saben los amigos de #Hive, a mí me gusta reciclar; creo que hay muchas cosas que han perdido su vida útil, pero pueden ser utilizadas para otras cosas, solo se requiere ser creativos e inventar. De las locuras y la creatividad han salido grandes inventos de la humanidad. También ayudamos un poco al medio ambiente, reciclar dentro de nuestros hogares puede minimizar el impacto de la contaminación por la basura. Hay muchos usuarios creativos, que hacen bellezas con sus manos y con material reciclable.
Amigos de la Comunidad de #needleworkmonday, les traigo mi proyecto, un cojín en forma de corazón y multicolor. Lo hice, “A mi manera”, es decir, a la Mafa; no tiene grandes explicaciones, es fácil de realizar y para quien desee hacer este corazón. Toda la costura la hice manual con punto atrás.
