after much deliberation on if to buy a van first or to carry saving for a house I had settled on the van first - However I have this niggling feeling I would be making yet another bad financial decision.
So its time for something a bit different...
Mend and make do..
I am trying to take inspiration from my elders, back in their day if you couldn't afford something sensibly you mended what you had and made do with it. And it made me think...What do I have? Well I have this..
its a 2020 Honda jazz (also known as a Honda fit in many parts of the world) Its a small car that's known for having a large interior.
Me and my girlfriend have decided why not make this into a quirky little micro camper?! no it wont be as comfortable or spacious as a van, but it might scratch the itch we have, will be incredibly practical, easy to park, cheap to run, and FREE (or well I already own it 100%) It will have electric, a cooler, and a toilet as well!
So that's what we are going to do! If we decide we still need a van at a later date then fine - but this is our project for now. This way we can also still save for a house.
We have a budget of £1000 and we will be spending the majority of that on a gadget that we can use elsewhere - I will share in my next post.
