I have been self employed for the last 10 years, I run my own business with my partner - a little 2 person business that hardly pays the bills, it was looking promising once apon a time but like so many other things has taken a hit due to the current situation.
At nearly 40 years old the time has come for me to get a job and have my girlfriend run the business by herself, (and luckily she can do that)
So A week ago I saw a suitable job on indeed and applied via email, I got a response saying that applications had been very high and asking to send a CV.
CV sent - Got a phone call from the area manager. He would like to interview me! Great! most don't even get to an interview these days, in fact most don't even get a rejection email from their CV being sent, each job gets hundreds of applicants now and it isn't viable for them to do so.
So I go to the interview and it seems to go very well.. I get told at the end I will be notified the outcome and off I go.
The next day I get a phonically from the area manager again, holding my breath I find out that they think i did very well and would like to give me a second interview! This was unheard of back in the days I was employed a long time ago. Things have changed so much.
I am down to the final stage and have my interview this afternoon, Its me vs 3 others..
The job in hand we are fighting for?? Delivery driver.
Wish me luck!
