Today I wanted to show you my latest work, which is something very different from the usual.
It is the god Kukulkan :) I wrote a story about my trip in Mexico lately, in which I already mentioned my admiration towards the Mayan art, which is something very creative, very curvy... just fantastic stuff.
I looked up some of the classic depictions of Kukulkan and took one as a reference. I then went over the lines to get a feel of how the lines work (if that make sense).

Once that was done, I let my creativity loose and worked the image trying to maintain the Maya style as best as I could.
I still need to improve my coloring skills, but the choice of very bright and strong colors was done on purpose (even if the photos dont really fully transmit them).
The idea behind the drawing is clear to me, but I am curious to know what you guys come up with :)
