Today, the entire world is celebrating Diwali.
Diwali is a Hindu festival, which is celebrated all over the world by the people of different nationality, religion and race. Diwali is also known as Deepawali or the festival of lights. Diwali is a celebration of home coming of Lord Rama after fourteen years of exile. People celebrate this day by distributing sweets among family, friends and relatives. Diwali is the biggest festival of Hindus.
People start preparing for the celebration prior to many days of Diwali. Shops in the markets are decorated, houses painted in new colors, Sweets are prepared for the occasion. In the night worship of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi is observed for and prayers are offered to God and Goddess.
