Hi all and
Yesterday something beautiful happened to me while I was playing @splinterlands:
I pulled my first Gold Foil Legendary card from my daily reward chests. Actually I was at the pool half-asleep after lunch, under the sun, striving to see something on the LCD of my smartphone. But yeah,it was satisfactory anyway 馃帀馃帀馃帀
This was my entire daily (excluding potions and DECs):
I think Spirit Druid Grog is a really strong card for certain situations, game changer in melee out for earth splinter. Analogously to other strong legendary rewards not so strong at level 1 (i.e. Zalran Efreet or Fallen Specter) he is also quite cheap on market while printing.
After the excitement I asked myself "have I been lucky?". So well, I did some math.
I am currently playing 2 accounts: one regular foil (Champion I league) and 1 gold foil (@madgold: single BCX cards, the league depends from season to season, but for sure it has benefited from the league bug that is going to be fixed).
In short, I expect each season to open about 700 loot chests. For each chest I have 33% probability of flipping a card. Then normal probabilities are applied to determine foil and rarity of it. Considering always both potions active, we have:
700 chests --> 233 cards --> of them 1,6% of being legendary, and 4% of being gold
I am playing Splinterlands with this numbers since 6 season, so I think I am smoothly into the statistics 馃帀
Since I'm planning to play (for time reasons) only 1 account and although I'm already fond of it, I think I will sell this card to finance me some more regular foil card.
I'll wait the new collection power update to make any move, we'll see :)
Cheers!
