Hello Dlivers and steem community, this post is for Dlive's survey to improve platform quality. Dlive is a platform for live streams on virtually anything which also can be used for videos.
I always wanted to stream but never had the opportunity and than discovered Dlive when i joined steem 1 month ago. So I tried at my own house but could't do it due to low internet quality so went to my friends house and started streaming League of Legends. Link for my stream. I had so much fun doing it and I definately plan on going to the next level with my streams by purchasing a webcam and learning how to customize my stream interface. I love streaming in an interactive environment and also have so much fun doing it.
First of all I generally watch game streams so my opinions will mostly be viable for gaming. For a stream experience i look for good image and sound quality. If the streamer is taking the sound from an outer sound source it also ruins the sound quality. Also seeing the streamer creates more pleasant experience.
Other than image and sound quality, I like to see that the player is skilled on the game that its playing or at least has good energy, interacts with audience and has fun while streaming. I believe this is the most important element for me for enjoying watching streams. I also enjoy when streamers shares intel on moves which also helps the viewers to improve their game.
Dlive is an great application on a decentralized platform for live streams where streamers get full money for their work unlike mainstream platforms like youtube and twitch where they take ~50% and more in comission for streamers work. Also on dlive unpopular content creators get more spotlight. It's near impossible to shine in twitch or youtube if you are not known.
Chatting during streams via steem is hard and kind of disrupts the flow on live shows. Many users dealing with bandwith issues makes it even harder. Dlive could have its own chat instead of using steem if its possible.
Another issue is that servers are located at U.S.A., some servers can be added in Europe region to eliminate lag spikes and broaden the service for more users.
There could be an option to delete or upload your stream and keep it.
For my first stream I had hard time with technical setups but Dlive's guidelines on using OBS helped me. Now im stuck on customizing my interface. If there are more guidelines written by dlive that would be very helpfull and for Dlive community stream quality would improve.
