I don't know if I'm the only one that finds it difficult to choose which app to download in play store. With thousands of apps from different developers, it sometimes difficult to choose which app will do exactly what you want. While there are millions of low-quality apps on play store, there are still some quality apps out there.
I'll be reviewing one of the good apps today, note: I said well because I've used this app and its been a great experience.
So I stumbled upon an app on play store that assists users in creating habits, 'I hope it a good habit they are creating.' I'm sure everyone needs an app like this. Creating a habit is not that easy, it requires work time, consistency, and focus, etc.
For different reasons, we sometimes fail to form that desired habit. An app that can assist in creating that desired habit is definitely a good app to have.
So in this post, I'll be sharing with you such app named Loop habit tracker.

When I launched the app for the first time, I was welcomed with a beautiful intro screen, which explains what the app does. After that is the home screen. The design for the home page is clean, beautiful and minimal. The icons are beautifully arranged.
After going through the app settings. I was able to change the theme to night mode, enable the sticky notification and some other features.
The app is nice and has great features.
Loop-habit tracker vs similar app (Habitbull)
Loop Habit source
I'll be comparing Loop-Habit tracker with Habitbull because they both appear top on the search result when 'habit tracker' is search on play store. These two apps are packed with great features, also I'll be comparing their outstanding features.
Habitbull as a sign up feature while Loop-habit tracker doesn't. The reason for that would be because most features in Habitbull requires user detail, an example is the sync feature and the 'general discussion' where users interact with others.
Social features
Habitbull has a more social approach to it. It has a general discussion where users can interact with each other. It also provides more information when creating a habit. Loop-habit tracker, on the other hand, doesn't have these social features, it provides less information when creating habits and users don't interact with other users.
Interface
Both apps have a great interface, they both keep their design clean, beautiful and minimal. User progress is displayed using a beautiful chart.
Both apps also have night mode for dark theme lovers.
Reminder
This is an important feature for apps like this.
Loop-habit tracker has two different types of reminder. The normal notification and sticky notification. Habitbull also has this feature too. It's important to remind users when its time to do what they need to do.
Sync and database
Both apps handles this feature differently. Habitbull uses the syn feature while Loop-habit tracker uses the import and export feature. Both features serve the same purpose just that you have to import the data file in Loop-habit tracker while you sign in to sync with HabitBull. The reason Loop-habit tracker doesn't use the sync feature is that it doesn't require user signing up.
integrating other devices and application
Habitbull allows users to connect to google fit to help with those fitting habit. Although I didn't see this feature on Loop-habit tracker, on it github readme. It states that
Optimized for smartwatches. Reminders can be checked, snoozed or dismissed directly from your Android Wear watch.
Maybe later in the future, this feature will be added.
Why choose Loop-habit tracker
For a start, it totally free, with no annoying advert showing up everywhere. Secondly, it has a clean and minimal interface. So if you are like me that love nice design. Thirdly, Loop habit tracker has a reminder feature that helps reminds its users, unlike other trackers. It also calculates the strength of your habit using its advance algorithm. Loop-habit tracker also uses a beautiful and well-detailed graph to show your progress.
Conclusion
Loop-habit tracker is a great app with nice features and a dedicated project owner. So I'm certain this app has what it takes to be among the best in its niche. So if you are looking for a free app that helps track your habits progress and has great features, Loop-habit tracker is definitely the app for you.
